Thomas Carter outlines a cross-sector framework spanning capital formation, identity, Bitcoin-native systems and digital assets

Deal Box announced an integrated digital-asset infrastructure strategy designed to connect private capital formation, real-world asset tokenization, identity verification, Bitcoin-native applications and corporate digital-asset advisory services.

Led by founder Thomas Carter, the strategy brings together several companies and initiatives intended to address different parts of the digital financial system. Carter said the objective is to build practical infrastructure that allows businesses, investors and public institutions to use emerging technologies within compliant and verifiable transaction environments.

The approach reflects a pattern Carter says has guided his career for more than three decades: identifying developing markets and creating the technology required to support them before widespread adoption.

Before entering financial technology, Carter worked in wake sports and founded Thruster Wake. He developed equipment during the early growth of modern wakeboarding and later received recognition from the Wake Sports Hall of Fame, including an innovation award.

Carter also supported athletes in action sports, including professional skateboarder and Olympic competitor Andy Macdonald. He later moved into interactive digital media, developing CD-ROM products and the early mobile game Babe Ruth Bashball. According to Carter, two companies developed during that period eventually entered the public markets.

Building Capital-Market Infrastructure

Carter’s work shifted toward private capital markets following the passage of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act in 2012. The legislation expanded the ways certain businesses could reach investors, creating demand for technology, compliance systems and transaction infrastructure supporting online capital formation.
He founded Deal Box in 2016 to provide capital advisory, investment packaging, compliance coordination, investor engagement and emerging digital-securities services. The company says it completed its first real-world asset tokenization project during the same year.

“Tokenization is not only about creating a digital representation of an asset,” Carter said. “The larger opportunity is building the identity, compliance, custody, settlement and transaction systems needed to support programmable ownership.”

Deal Box’s broader infrastructure strategy includes True I/O, which focuses on identity and verification across connected devices and digital transactions. Orobit is developing Bitcoin-native infrastructure intended to support programmable applications and tokenized asset markets.
Token Clear advises public and pre-public companies evaluating digital-asset treasury strategies and the potential use of digital assets on corporate balance sheets. Carter is also involved in a sovereign capital-markets initiative in Botswana focused on capital access, asset representation, investment participation and economic development.
The companies operate as separate components of a broader infrastructure model covering identity, asset representation, regulatory compliance, capital formation and settlement.

Long-Term View of Digital Markets

Carter said his interest in digital assets is based on the development of institutional participation, clearer regulatory frameworks, real-world asset tokenization and programmable financial systems.
In February 2020, Carter publicly forecast that the total cryptocurrency market would reach a valuation of $1 trillion. The market crossed that level in January 2021. Carter said the forecast was based on his interpretation of institutional adoption and blockchain infrastructure rather than short-term price movements.
Digital assets, tokenized securities and private-market investments involve significant risks. This announcement does not constitute investment, tax or legal advice or an offer to buy or sell securities. Companies and investors should consult qualified professional advisers and review applicable regulations before participating in any transaction.
